PrivaZer for Windows
PrivaZer is a Windows desktop application that scans your PC, shows you what it found and then cleans the leftovers your system and your programs keep behind. It was built for Windows only, so every scan is based on how Windows itself stores temporary files, caches, recent-file lists and registry entries.
It runs on Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, on desktops and laptops, and it can also scan external and USB drives.
What PrivaZer cleans on a Windows PC
PrivaZer groups its scan around the places where Windows quietly accumulates data:
- Temporary files and log files created by Windows and installed software
- Browser caches, cookies, download lists and history
- Recent documents, jump lists and shell usage history
- Recycle bin contents and leftovers of files you already deleted
- Thumbnail caches, prefetch entries and indexing leftovers
- Registry entries left behind by uninstalled programs
- Residual traces in free disk space and in the file table (MFT or FAT)
Scan first, clean second
Every cleanup starts with a scan. PrivaZer lists what it found, how much space each category takes and lets you exclude anything you want to keep, such as the cookies of sites you stay signed in to. Nothing is removed until you confirm it.
The program adapts its erasing method to the drive it is working on. A mechanical hard drive, an SSD and a USB stick are not handled the same way, which avoids unnecessary writes on flash storage.
Installer or portable
You can install PrivaZer normally, or run the portable build from a USB drive without installing anything. The portable version is useful for technicians who clean several Windows machines, and for PCs where you would rather not add software.
Both builds come from the same download page, and both are free of bundled offers, ads and telemetry.
